Dr. Daria's Story
Dr. Daria Kovnierista was born in beautiful Ukraine, where rich traditions and a deep cultural connection to nature harmonize with modern scientific advancements. She attended university and traveled extensively, embracing cultural diversity throughout her years spent in Europe.
After moving to Canada, Dr. Kovnierista studied nursing at the British Columbia Institute of Technology. During her hospital rotations, she realized the critical importance of considering the whole person and addressing social determinants of health in the pursuit of wellness.
This realization sparked her passion for integrative medicine and ultimately led her to graduate from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine at the Boucher Campus.
Dr. Daria Kovnierista welcomes patients from all walks of life and offers a wide range of general practice services. Her expertise includes digestive health, stress management, nutrition optimization, weight management, skin health, seasonal allergies, and sleep hygiene, among many other areas.
Dr. Daria Kovnierista understands the demands of our fast-paced modern lifestyle and is dedicated to helping her patients build the resilience needed to live fulfilling and happy lives.
Besides general practice, Dr. Kovnierista is well-versed in mental health and trauma. She has experience working with displaced individuals from war zones and those separated from their families. Dr. Kovnierista employs trauma-informed care and a multi-faceted approach to empower and support her patients’ recovery.
A passionate advocate for women's health, Dr. Kovnierista focuses on providing mental and hormonal support to women throughout every stage of life. She believes that equipping people with the right tools and knowledge enables them to reach their fullest potential.
When not in the clinic, Dr. Kovnierista enjoys cooking, exploring local trails, travelling, and spending quality time with her family and two adorable fluffy cats.
